What do you guys do for a living? I'm a student at a computer science school(the level equal to college I think).. But for the last week I have been working as a painter(painting houses, outside), and it's killing me, and my arms.. I'm not used to getting up at 7 AM and working, physically for 8 hours :/ Thank god its only for this summer

After a brief tour of duty with the USAF I was a Truck Driver for 20+ years. Nowadays I'm disabled due to a couple of accidents and surgery on my feet, so I sit at home on my computer and play guitar.

Did 4 years in the US Army running communication networks and now, for the past 4+ years, am working as an engineer for the local cable company. I design the main plant ensuring proper levels at any given test point.
I also work part time as an engineer for my Dad. He owns a coporation that does all the engineering duties fro several radio groups in Illinois. Basically, I work on and maintain transmitters, transmitter sites, towers, etc.
On top of all that, I play in a gigging band that plays most every weekend with 2 six hour rehersals a week. I'm busy, but I love it.
Did I forget to mention I was married too??? LOL......

Finished school with qualifications to go to Uni and train for teaching, lure of cash made me join Customs & Excise for 2 years, then 4 years as a firefighter, for the past 20 odd years, been in freight forwarding, now manager of firm shipping cargo's to and from all parts of the globe, this is great as I get to talk to people in USA, Canada, Australasia, Japan, Taiwan, Peru, Chile, Brasil, Turkey blah blah blah blah.
End up doing Monday to Friday 12 hrs (plus calls at home), 4 hrs each Saturday & Sunday, kids reckon I should now go to Uni as a mature student and then get a proper job !!
But I love it !!
