What do you know... Thanks to this post, I've discovered why I just don't seem to like any acoustics as much as my Simon & Patricks. After reading the reference to Seagull guitars, I checked the S&P website AND consulted my tape measure, and both my acoustics have a 24.8" scale. Simon & Patrick/Seagull/Norman/Godin guitars are made by the same company www.lasido.com. I've always loved how the S&Ps played and didn't know why. I know the Seagulls and Normans also have a wider neck. If your looking for a great quality, short scale, solid-top acoustic in the $250-$300 range, check one out. If you want to step up to a solid back as well, their Pro Series are only a couple hundred more.

...well...checked out the Simon & Patrick website for a nearby dealer.................
...turns out the address is the same as the local GC...the previous retailer retired about ten years ago...GC took over....seems like accuracy in guitar manufacturers' websites is not of primary importance...gives the lawyers something to do..................
...half the fun is the hunt........................
.............................to be continued....................................
