With my humble apologies to the writing staff at Letterman's Late Show, the following is my:
"TOP TEN reasons why it is great to be a left-handed guitar player."
#10-We actually enjoy being told that we are playing the "wrong way" and being asked: "doesn't that feel weird?
#9-We have a good excuse NOT to play when someone brings a right-handed guitar to a party.
#8-It's a lot easier to imitate Hendrix, Albert King, McCartney, Iggy Pop, Seal, Dick Dale, Elliot Easton, Cobain. . . (I could go on!).
#7-We really don't mind being told that we have to pay more for our axes-We're happy to do it!
#6-It keeps our curious non-playing friends from messing with our stuff!
#5-Good news! Daisy Rock makes most of their stupid-a** novelty guitars for leftys (check out Music 123)!
#4-Even better news! Epiphone DOESN'T offer those idiotic "Collegiate" guitars in left-handed editions.
#3-I really don't mind waiting 12 months for my "special order" Rickenbacker 360/12.
#2-Hey PRS-We didn't really want any of your over-priced, gaudy guitars. We're glad that you discontinued making leftys!
And the #1 reason that it is great to be a left-handed guitar player is:
#1-We love messing with guitar store salesmen when we tell them that "We would love to purchase that full mark-up ES-335, if only your store had one to try out!"
Sorry for the sarcasm, sometimes I just can't help it!
Any additions are welcome from you leftys out there.

We love the look of the righty guitar player trying to figure out what in the hell chord are we playing now!
Watching others as we turn the righty guitar over and play it upside down.
Laughing at the righty players trying to do that with our lefty guitars.

ahh, yes, but there's still lots of lefties who die each year from trying to use right handed products (so I'm told) -Some quote from clueless righties "Why are you doing that with your left hand?" "You've got it turned around backwards."

Hey...the only thing that I do left handed is to write...I do everything else, including play the guitar right-handed...must have something to do with my rebellious youth and 12 years of parochial school! ;D

I'm not sure why it is so . . . . . . Maybe we're just a little more adaptable in seeing and doing things in different ways (he-he!).
