Today I got a new guitar from Ebay, and guess what happened? I unpacked the guitar and as it jumped out of the box I noticed the headstock was broken... Hopefully I will get a refund or another guitar, the guy from whom I bought it is a professional dealer and I hope he will contact me soon... Boohooo... that lovely gold top copy...

I hate to hear that bro. The longest 16 days I have spent in a while was waiting on my guitar to arive via UPS. I got lucky.

Well, obviously I´m lucky... the guy who sold the guitar told me he would send another guitar, I should send back the damaged one and make a report at the post office about the incident... Hopefully he will get a refund then also from those postmen who obviously had thrown the box or what the heck they did with it... From now on I am a bit sceptic about sending guitars with parcel services... We have a very trusty private service here in Germany that I choose for sending delicate objects like guitars, by the way. I never send guitars myself using the public postal services.

Bummer and Congrats for getting a replacement.
I have recieved a couple of guitars through normal postal channels and had no problems. I do prefer to have guitars shipped UPS though.

I've had damage from UPS shipments twice, but never from Fed Ex.... I have only had one item shipped FedEx and that was an amp my brother sent me. It got to me in good shape.

Well, that the good thing about dealing with a dealer on ebay instead of a private individual. The dealer can replace. Sometimes its not so easy to get reimbursed by private sellers. Hope your next baby arrives safely.

I will feel a certain relief as soon as the new guitar is delivered... it was a cash on delivery deal, my money is gone so far... hopefully this bloke will hurry up a bit.
