Hey! Very interesting... we did Thin Lizzy´s "Johnny" also back in the days... A very unpopular song, but in my opinion one of their best. Currently we have the following cover versions in our live set:
Alice Cooper - He´s back (the man behind the mask) ..., with guitars added and a lot less keyboards. Keel/Patty Smith - Because the night Danzig - Devil´s Plaything Dead Moon - Dead in the saddle
We used to play and probably will play again from time to time:
Scorpions - Rock you like a hurricane T.Rex/Paul DiAnno - Children of the revolution Thin Lizzy - Hey you UFO - Doctor, doctor Neil Young - Rocking in a free world
We sometimes love to do stuff that is rather unsuitable for our own set, but we alter the song structures and it´s overall atmosphere to suit our demands and own style. What I really would like to as well was an Abba song with heavy guitars and powerful drumming. Back in the days I used to play with our current bassplayer in a 70´s/80´s hard rock cover band, we played songs of AC/DC, Saxon, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, UFO, etc...
;D

LMFAO!!!!!!
Currently were not gigging anymore, were in the mist of finder a new bassist and a drummer. Rough times for the band.
But we used to do,
Enter Sandman - Metallica Whole lotta rosie - AC/DC Back in Black - AC/DC Sunshine of your love - Cream Walk this way - Aerosmith Could've been a lady - April Wine Smells like teen spirit - Nirvana Fade to Black - Metallica
Oh man thats just a few I can remember right now. We prefer to play our own stuff that would be me and the othe guitarist, however the other too always wanted covers. But now were directing our efforts to writing our own stuff.
