Okay, you read the post about my dirt cheap "Apollo" silver sparkle LP 100 copy. This morning I thought "seize this lame sunday" and change the bridge pickup, I bought an Ibanez pickup on Ebay and thought this would be the right choice for this guitar, you know how much work it is to change a pickup... take the strings off, unscrew the pickup frame, uninstall the old pickup, solder the cables of the new one to the pot, fasten screws, re-string the guitar... *sigh* ...guess what happened? The pickup I bought is defective... , oh my goodness... same work again, lol... but now the guitar has an Epiphone open coil alnico pickup which is lovely! I already mentioned that these newer Epi pickups are very good and deliver an amazing hot output. Fortunately the guy from Ebay replied immediately and told me either to refund the dead pickup or trade it somehow into a different one... There are not only betrayers on Ebay, you come across nice people often also... Have a nice sunday everybody!

Sorry to hear that it didn't work the first time, but if you get a new set of pickups that work that LP copy will be nice.

Zep, it is already nice! I installed an Epiphone Alnico open coil humbucker in the bridge position, the stock neck pickup was okay while the stock bridge pickup was very microphonic and caused squealing. Everything is lovely now.

That's good to hear ;D I just wasn't sure if you were missing a pickup because of the one that you got off of Ebay that didn't work. Hope it plays as well as your other LPs.
