Recently I noticed some kind of rude conversation on the official Epiphone board. People heckling each other and even calling each others names... Oh boy, I hope this will never happen here, and if it would I´d ban those disputers immediately. Everyone is free to have his own opinion, yes, he can even ask "silly" questions... if somebody feels annoyed by such an "idiot´s question" he is free to swap over to the next thread but don´t slap the face of the newbee with strong words. Hmm, I ask myself why don´t interfere the mods over there on those threads? What I hate most is that some people tend to think they can belittle and insult people on the internet. Belittle and insult them from a safe position, thinking the internet grants you the required anonymity to do so...just a few thoughts! Have a nice everybody...

For months I used to post on the "official Epiphone forum", (for I wanted to learn as much as I could about my Epi-LP).
I still look in on the "official Epiphone Forum", however, I will NOT EVER make a post there again. This is due to the blatant, vigilante, biased, censorship of the so-called "moderators/admin."
I agree that recently the "official Epiphone Forum" has deteriorated into a name calling, personal flaming, intolerant entity with no compassion or understanding towards new players, and beginners, again not to mention the "censorship" and deleting of posts by admin.
Yes,...I carry a grudge, I forgive, but I never forget.
(If you want the "Paul Harvey" look up my post about "Gibson VS PRS")
Yes, I learned a lot from the many good people that made posts and comments there, about their experiences with their Epiphone guitars, their personal knowledge, and their years of playing experience, and here on EpiFriends, I hope to continue my learning process, by sharing posts and comments with the many good, well versed, and knowledgeable members here.
"nuff said"

Thank you, Thank you, there is enough of that type of garbage in the world, just look at our presidential candidates. I find this site very helpful, interesting and at times fun. I pray it never gets near the poor quality I see 'other places' Irish Mike

heh, I just got onto the "official message board" and read a quote from the admin:
Seems like no one over there is being nice as they used to be.
*edit*
Oh and Steelpriest, responding to your comment, I don't think that you will have too much trouble with the people on this end of the boards unless you start deleting non Epi posts and going postal on the forum users.

;D Why should I delete postings? I established this site to have room for free speech... I have myself lots of non Epiphone guitars, and I never ever will use an Epiphone or Gibson amplifier... ;D

yeah, no kidding, both Epi and Gibson have very limited selection of amps and both are expensive (Epi not so much because they're tube amps but the Gibbys are really pricy).

Speaking of the "official board," I got on there today to see if anything was happening. Some guy by the name of Lp100 had tons of posts (he had 117 posts) all saying the same meaningless dribble and making everyone on the forum mad. In one of his posts he said that he used his rapid fire game controller to post, and in another one he said that his keyboard was in some way broken. Either way, it's the people like that (along with all the people who made innopropriate/derogative responses) who ruin forums.
I'm just glad that the people here actualy express intelligence and don't just spout out pointless stuff, and too many of the other posts ask the same questions over and over.

Exactly for this reason I chose another two global moderators, that help with taking care of our nice place here. I am totally pissed off seeing the official forum going down and being ruined by such people like that moron that spammed the site. Hope nothing alike will happen here...
