Tubescreamer vs. Tubulator

Someone asked me to do this comparison on another forum, so I though I'd share.

Ibanez TS9DX vs Arion Tubulator.

Tubulator has the same chip as the original TS808.

Setup:

Tele neck pickup.
pedal into Johnson J-Station in Blackface mode with compression on and a bit of reverb.
TS9DX in TS9 mode.
Backing track by Tom Burch.

Alternating blues type lead riffs.

Starting left channel, TS9, then right channel Tubulator, and so forth...

Tubulator, $19.95 and on a good day, $14.95.

That's very nice of you to do. I think a lot of people like these kind of comparions, they are pretty hard to find.

Yes, quite a nice demonstration!

Strange that your Tubulator and my SCO-1 Compressor are so good while the Arion MDI-1 Tube Mania stompbox is practically useless!

Never heard of the tube mania pedal before.
Here is a photo of the Tubulator's guts. I has a JRC4558D chip in it...
