Long hair rocks, hehe... I still have my 80´s mane, though I am pretty bald on the top meanwhile, that´s why I always wear baseball caps. LOL, I should order such a "genuine Epi Cardboard cap" or counterfeit one myself, hehe!

hcoll: so, is your daughter(s) available? just kidding my nextdoor neighbour has the exact hair that robert plant had around 1973-ish, he's not a zeppelin fan though I'm trying to get mine to look sort of 70's-like.. Haven't had long hair since I was 10, I think..

Guys, guys....
I remember my kids absolutely splitting their sides looking at photos of me during the 70's when I was a teenager, I had the lot, cheesecloth shirt (huge lapels) and flared jeans, the flair was so big that when I got off the train they were still getting on it !! I was kitted out with the most ridiculous long hair, deliberately cut to look scruffy (even though my mum insisted I wash it every night !!), this was rounded off with a huge skull medalliaon on a leather necklace, in the photo's I obviously think that I am some Adonis. This appearance probably explains why I did not have a girlfriend until I was 17 !!
I have my wife hit me hard with the clippers once every 2 weeks, just leaving stubble (bit like recruits in the US Marines) we call it a grade one over here.
I think fashion is wonderful, I watch my son (aged 13) and my 2 daughters (15 & 17) torturing themselves with worry about looking "cool"
Wonderful to reach the age when you don't have to impress anyone !!
I've just read this again, how the hell did we get here so quickly on this thread !!
I've enjoyed it

...available...yeah...you'd better like baseball...running miles...cycling...swimming laps...if you expect to keep up with 'em...also...be able to maintain an intelligent conversation on any number of subjects......... ........................and...I am dead serious...................... ...you'd damn well better come to the door...knock...politely introduce yourself to me...tell me where you're going...when you'll be returning...hold the door as she leaves...open and close the car door for her...drive away safely/slowly out of my eyesight...I may be Dad...but I also fill in as an older brother.......
...I'm still not convinced that long hair is "in"...maybe if you're in a tribute band trying to look like someone out of the past...one of the older guys in the office does sport a pompador...he was in a do-wop group back in the late 50's..........
...six years ago...when we first started looking at colleges...we were on a tour when one of the mothers turned to me and commented..."have you ever seen so many clean-cut kids in your life"...it suddenly dawned on me that "yeah, these guys don't look like we did when we were in school...they looked more like our older brothers"...that observation still holds when I visit my younger daughter on campus...maybe it's time for this to change again......

...lol...actually...the guys that they hang around with are very nice...I'm very fortunate for that...no spiked hair...no rainbow mohawks...maybe a couple of small ear studs...guitarists...oh well.............. ...Dad's rules have never had to be verbally enforced...because the guys follow them...probably their mothers remind them............

On a side note we should have a members pic section so we can put faces with all our names. CAFeathers and I show our faces in our avatar images....

I turn 16 in December, and I had long hair down to my shoulders, but its getting hot outside so I decided to get a haircut. But as soon as school starts again, so does growing my hair back!
Most people at my school have semi-long/shaggy hair. Only about 3 or 4 people actually have really long hair

...supedupeviper...it makes sense now that I think about it...forty years ago the kids of my generation rebelled against our parents' status quo by letting our hair grow (The Beatles, etc)...twenty years after that the kids rebelled against the status quo by getting short hair cuts...now that short hair's been in vogue for twenty years...it's time to go back to long hair again...and it probably won't be the same as in the 60's...now it's probably "Oh...you're letting your hair grow...are you in a band...what do you play"...times have changed......
...you're as young as you feel...I keep forgetting that I'm old enough to be a grandfather...I don't see myself like that...and you just reminded me that it's been forty years since I left seventh grade this month...President Kennedy had died in Nov...The Beatles arrived in February...Vietnam was just a blurb in the papers...I was thirteen years old...sorry...I didn't mean for this to be so nostalgic..............
