Hi Jukes
See my seperate post in off topic section will explain my cynical tone !!
IMOHO, all these effects pedals / boards and rigs are fine, IF YOU HAVE A USE FOR THEM.
I have messed about with a variety of Boss and Korg products, they all have there uses, but it very much depends whether you want to try and be the Eddie van Halen of your street or you NEED the kit for your band, very often you will buy these things, fiddle with them and ultimately put them back in the box !!
Personally, speaking from experience, I use a 7 year old Cry Baby wah and an overdrive stomper that is 3 yrs old and I think is a Boss..., I put this through a Fender 50w rv twin and I am playing at least twice per week in a funk band, max audience 250, local bars.
I hope you love your new Boss, I hope it opens new doors for you HONESTLY I DO but there is no substitute for making the baby sing just by being itself !!
Good luck and have fun Chris

i only been playing for a year(if you could call it playing) and for the price of your pedals i bought a gt6. i just want to try tunes that i like and get a similar sound.i do scales, chords, and noodle but when i want to try to play a tune,or a jazzy riff i can use the multieffect box. and basically because i am so new it gives me a whole whack of amps/effects for a low price.also it saves me from tapdancing.but yes i agree with you.less is more>only if the person can play.thanks for the post norm
