Hey!... Nope I don't play bass... However If I ever make a guitar from scratch it would be a electric bass guitar.

Hey, where are all the Bass Players? Sound off! Yeah... bass players many times are the most multi-talented people in the band! Well, that remark should spark a reply stampede.... ;D Khantheundead, I used to play bass in a couple bands back in the 20th Century (we didn't have electricity yet, so they were steam-powered ), but nowadays I do my bass parts in MIDI. I used to have a great natural Precision bass, though, and a sunburst pre-CBS Jazz....

Well I've only been playing bass for a year, my grandfather and my uncle have played since I was a baby, and I'm 31 now. Better late than never I guess. My first bass was a Ibanez GSR 100, a really great beginner bass. I then bought a Epiphone Les Paul Standard Bass. It took a bit to get use to the heavier neck but the tone you get is awesome. I sold it and bought an Allen Woody bass, it's only 30" scale and plays like a dream.

I sold it and bought an Allen Woody bass, it's only 30" scale and plays like a dream. My first bass was purchased at a swap meet -- all I could afford at the time, as a teen -- a no-name cheap import, with teardrop-shaped hollow body that the neck far outweighed -- making it nearly impossible to hold up and play at the same time! I went next to a short-scale Fender Musicmaster bass, a model which was re-introduced in 1997 under the Squier brand. My friend had a Gibson EB3, and I like the short-scale ones too.
