First of all,....Greetings everyone, tis been a long time since I have been here, and it feels good to be back,...*S*
Now,....
Well,....my toggle switch finally bit the dust and I want to replace it with a Gibson toggle switch, and well,....while I am in the process of changing out the switch I am planning to also change out all the pots as well.
So,.....
Please someone refresh my memory, I know that there is a difference in Epiphone parts and Gibson, so basically, what modifications will I need to perform to accomplish my goals,...??
then,....
I am also considering switching out the Epiphone stock pickups with Gibson "burstbuckers V",..again,...please refresh my memory as to the mods necessary for this up-grade as well.
My axe,...Epiphone Les Paul Standard, Ebony finish.
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I suggest contacting Lee or Roy at RS Guitarworks ( www.rsguitarworks.com ) and talking to them about getting an RS Kit, plus Switch.

I have the same axe that you have. When I bought it last year I replaced the stock pots with Gibson long shafts. They are an improvement. I also swapped out the stock caps for a pair of Orange Drops, another improvement. Next week, I'll be swapping out the stock pups for a 57 and a 57 plus, and after some recent research I think I'll swap the Gibson pots for CTS. You may want to skip the Gibsons in favor of the CTS. I found a page where a guy dissected a Gibby and a CTS, and his photos show a definite difference in quality. If I can find the page again I'll post a link.

RS knows what they're doing, as long as you live in the states (as you do), you should go for em.
