it is essential for a musician to know the basics of a sound board. it helps you and your sound man to get the best audio levels. because if the levels are not right the pa sounds like shyte. therefore the band sounds bad, and that can kill a show. people are wanting to hear a good band with good sound. it doesnt matter how good the band is, if the sound sucks the crowd doesnt get the full effect. learn all you can about sound and boards. it will be a make or break so to speak in some instances.
