Worst sounding piece of junk I ever heard..
I has the same tube hybrid technology as the Valvetroix line, but without all the amp models, just Vox.
It sounds like a bad solid state amp. I'm sending it back.
My son's 15 watt Valvetronix kills this thing.. in fact my Pathfinder 15R kills this thing.
I don't know why Vox even bothered on this one...

That's scary, cos I think the valvetronix sounds very good for solid state.

All the Valvetroix, the 15, 30 and 50 sound awesome.. this thing has the same Hybrid stuff, but it is not in the Valvetrox line... I just did not think I needed all those amp models, so it seemed like a good idea at the time...

Based on your report, I'm glad I didn't. You might want to check into this; www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=clearance/search/detail/base_pid/480008/I've been back to a local shop 3 or 4 times and played through a used one and I get more and more impressed with it each time. Solid state with what Roland calls analog tube logic technology. They are discontinued now hence the clearance price. If I didn't already have 3 amps and nowhere to play, I'd pick one up. On eBay used once are going for the same price, if not much more. They shop near me wants $285 for one that looks like it's been well used and gigged.
