I picked up a Peavey Transformer 112 from Instrument Exchange. This was the first time using that website and I must say, I like it much better than eBay. Instrument Exchange, IE, has a lot of buyer protection features the most notable of which is a 48 hour inspection/return policy on all gear. Since IE acts as the transfer agent for payment, the refunds are handled directly by them, not the individual sellers. Shipping is also handled by IE so FedEx ground shipping rates are truly shipping rate only, no padding allowed.
From what I can tell based on the sale of the same model amp at eBay, I ended up with an extremely good deal. The only caveat is that I have to buy the PFC4 foot switch which is about $130.00 at musicians friend. Looking forward to trying out the many variations in sound the Transformer allows. Also can't wait to use the midi programming feature with the free programming software available for download at the Peavey website.
I think, HOPE, I'm done with purchases for a while.

Isn't Instrument Exchange part of the MF or GC family?

Isn't Instrument Exchange part of the MF or GC family? Could be, I really don't know. I'm almost certain the amp is coming from a GC in Colorado. The pics had the little GC logo on the bottom right and FedEx tracking has point of origin in CO.

Received the Transformer in good condition with all functions apparently, perfectly functional. I say apparently because there is so much this amp does and I only managed to play with it for a couple of hours so far. Just today, I received the PFC4 footswitch from MF along with a USB to Midi interface device for my laptop to use with the free Transformer midi-programming software.
This should keep me busy for a while.
