As if I really needed another Amp. On Wednesday I purchased a Fender Blues Jr. Very nice clean tones, just what the Dr. ordered so to speak. I'm already considering turning it into a head instead of leaving it as a combo amp. I think it would be more versital. I know for sure a speaker change is going to happen, the stock "Made for Fender" Celestion just does not do it. It is a little flat. I plugged it into an Eminence StoneHenge and it made a BIG difference in tone. There will also be a tube change and I'll probably mod it so that the bias can be adjusted.
Amazing how we buy things just to change them. ;D

Not a bad little 15 watts huh? But I am suprised that you didn't like the MFF Celestions. The G 12 100s in Cyber Twin are the shiznit. But dif amp dif tone, I guess.

They are not like the regular Celestions, they sound flat. A friend of mine tried out several different Blues Jr's at Guitar Center today and said they all sounded flat. Jim Seavall from Scumbag Amps ( www.scumbagamps.com ) had a 1969 Celestion G12H "Pre-Rola" speaker cloned by Ted Weber ( www.webervst.com ) and I'm going to try out one of those to see what it sounds like in the Blues Jr. Email Jim to get the scoop on those speakers (tell him I sent you).

sounds nice! A few days ago I was trying out a hot rod deville at guitar center and that had a really nice tone, I'm starting to get interested in fender tube combos
