Hi,
I own a P90 '56 Goldtop and I need a new amp (I already have got a little "awfull" Marshall MG15CDR) to play essentialy blues (but also blues/rock and oldies) at low volume in my flat.
I need advices on the Peavey Delta Blues with 2x 10" hp
Tx

They get a pretty good review on harmony central and you can find them pretty cheap on ebay. No first hand knowledge though. I was curious myself when shopping for an amp.

Personaly, as a rule I stear clear of Peavey gear. Don't get me wrong, there is some really great Peavey stuff out there but the company is always in such turmoil that the quality of their gear varries from year to year, even on the same models in some cases. I am sure I will get called every name in the book for saying that but that is my opinion. I would however always play before I buy with Peavey. And do some side by side comparisons with other amps in the same price range. You may get a great amp.

Well, the oddest expirience we had with a Peavey amp was the following situation. The amp of our other guitarist refused his work on a rehearsal, it was a 50 or 100 watts full tube 2x12" combo amp from Peavey. It sounded brilliant, a nice amp... So... we thought: "let´s check the fuses!" But where were the fuses? Nothing to be found on the back of the chassis... We had to take apart the whole amp (chassis out of the enclosure, un-solder the speakers first, replace the blown fuse and re-assemble the whole crapola again), it took us about a good hour... I can imagine this would be a nice surprise for a gigging musician during a soundcheck or even a show... ;D

Looks sweet. The Delta and your Goldey make a classy looking rig. Good luck to ya.

Hey Thieery: Nice amp and guitar pics. Is it making the right kind of noise for you ? I heard on the news that the island of Corsica has had seismic-like activity and the suspected source is a tube amp. somewhere on the island . Just started since Dec. 2004 and has been almost constant since. Congrats !!
