If you had a real 'Burst, would you feel worthy to play it? I know I wouldn't..

Lol, I´d build in two Seymour Duncans or DiMarzios and would play it... sure, no problem... otherwise I might sell it to a collector and purchase other guitars for daily use. ;D

If I had a '59 LP, I would buy a really expensive display case with lots of locks and just display it on my wall, really high, where nobody can reach it. Now if I had a new '04 Gibson LP standard, I would play that until my fingers hurt

...am I worthy...nope.....
...do I care........nope.....
...most of us would need to take out a second/third mortgage on the house to afford one...then there's the insurance premium needed...possibly another motgage........
...display it in a case...doubtful...as I understand it...most of them are kept in bank vaults as investments...never to see the light of day again..........
...nope...if I ever owned one I'd sell it to the highest bidder...buy a Gibson...probably a Studio...maybe a little house in Chateaugay, NY...then...laugh all the way to the bank with the balance of the proceeds.............

If I had one, I'd sell it for as much as I could and buy a 54 reissue. Black mahogany top les paul custom with P90s. Then I'd buy chrome hardware for it, and still have $46,950 left over for my education.

Nice plan.. I don't think I'd sell it though.. Either I'd play it, or I'd let the prices go up, then sell it

Well, if I really had the money to buy such a guitar I would play it. But only at home or for recording purposes. Guitars are made for being played and not for being in display cases or bank safes. Of course such a guitar deserves some respect and has to handled with maximum care, I´d never play it on stage, etc. The only question that remains is the following: How much money must one have leftover to buy such a guitar... ;D I mean, there is a big difference in being wealthy and being real rich... lol... ;D If I was a rock star and would sell millions of albums... surely I would afford at least one such guitar. But it would probably never leave the house or living room again.

Guys, the value of these guitars is NOT in their quality or value as an instrument. It is purely their HISTORICAL value, as well as HYPE and COLLECTABILITY.

Of course the prices are ridiculous, but don't even try to begin thinking about saying you wouldn't want one ;D
