I think once you buy tons of guitars and have no money you will eventually decide that at least one was a sweet deal and therefor it was worth buying (even though you already have several guitars).

Yesterday I went to a jam session as a bass player and I brought my "silversparkle" Les Paul copy with me to show it to the lead guitarist. I know this guitarist since my early youth, he is about 15 years older than me, and when I was a beginner back in the day I went to almost all the gigs he played with his former band. I admired him alot and still do. You can say he is really famous locally and regarded as one of the best blues rock guitarists in our area. Well, he still has his old Gibson Les Paul Custom which must be from the early 70´s but he was pretty amazed of my "Les Cheap" and played it on yesterday´s jam session... We talked alot about guitars after and in between the session, and he verified this affordable piece of silver lacquered wood with the nice pick up as really good and wanted to keep it, lol... He said it would sound pretty agressive compared to his vintage Custom, and he appreciated the light weight of it. He praised the low action and the overall feel of the guitar and was nearly knocked of his shoes concerning the quality even cheap and affordable guitars deliver nowadays. He was of course joking when he suggested trading it for his Gibby, lol... but he really liked it and played it for about two hours with his lovely Gibby *drool* in it´s stand. What can be nicer than this? I was really satisfied to find out he shared my opinion about guitars and brand names... Well, don´t get me wrong, a real Gibson is the real thing... my copy can´t compete with it, but it is in any case a decent guitar. By the way: his old Gibby was pretty light as well compared to lots of models I held in my hands before. Surprisingly he never had a G.A.S., this amazing guy plays his guitar for almost 30 years now... he bought a Fender Strat somewhen in the mid 80´s but was never really satisfied with it. Who of us can imagine playing just one guitar for almost his whole life as a musician? Woohoo, I can tell ya... such an old Gibby deserves some respect and it was like a "holy moment" to touch it and hold it in my hands...

it's good to hear someone else has had good luck with Chinese guitars. I have 2 S101 guitars, an Ibanez copy and a Tele copy. Both were made by American Senjin (not exactly a household name), and I only paid $100 apiece for them.
I have been extremely pleased with both of them, esp. the Tele. It sounds great and has a nice, fast neck. So the chinese are doing something right.
I wouldn't be surprised if this company is ghostbuilding guitars for name-brand companies already. Good quality.
