I recently bought a LP Studio Epi, but I see nothing like it on the web. It has a wine red finish and gold hardware, gold grovers, and a graphite nut.All the pics I see on the web have those plastic knobs on the tuning heads, and chrome hardware-unlike mine. It was 500$cnd, and is made in Korea ,serial indicates U= Korea,November 2003.I did the blind taste test(had a friend hand me a Gibson, then an Epi without me knowing which was which).Guess which one sounded and "felt" like I should buy it?Epiphone.Put it through an RPx400 and it is a great compliment to a Strat. How do I post pics.---ps. thanks for putting up this site.

How do I post pics.---ps. thanks for putting up this site. Welcome aboard, Paulus!!!! Photos are supposed to only go in the main site's Gallery because of limited space here. I apologize for abusing the new freedom we have and bending the rules, in adding images every so often to illustrate my posts. I've deleted all of 'em, I think.

Not really because of the limited space for the pics are not really uploaded to the forum´s server. Any pics displayed here must be hosted on a server, maybe on your own website´s one. The pictures are only displayed here when you name the precise URL of that particular pic. I don´t want this forum to be overcrowded with pictures also for somethink like, let´s say... the optical appearance of this site. I find it hard to keep track sometimes when there are always big photographs in the threads. If you wanna show a guitar or something else please send the pic in an email attachment to me. When you just want to show something real quick to a specific pal here on the forum you can also post (or better to say link) these photograph in an Instant Message to that buddy. Check out this "personal message option", it works alike the posting you make here on the public forum. Back to your question, I already answerd in an IM to you... I guess the guitar you have must be something like a limited edition maybe. I never came across a Les Paul Studio with gold hardware so far. Maybe they closed down the manufacture at Unsung and had to use all the hardware that was in stock still and make some real nice guitars, so for that reason they used all the gold hardware maybe? I read somewhere Gibson is planning to have Epis made exclusively at the chinese plant in the future... Hmmm...
