I just got offered this Morgan bass guitar (I have no idea what model), and the Laney HCM15B bass amp, for 1500 norwegian kr, or ~200 USD.. Is that a good price? They haven't been used much.. I'm just looking for something to fiddle around with, nothing serious

If you are able to check this bass and amp before paying and everything is alright, I´d say go for it. Seems to be a nice price. I never heard of Morgan guitars or basses, maybe it is comparable to the brand of Collins which is known for priceworthy Fender copies here in Germany. For 200 $ or about 160 - 170 Euros you don´t risk much, if you don´t like bass playing you can re-sell this stuff and get back your money easily.

Morgan makes cheap copies of just about anything from electric basses to nylon acoustics(I have a Morgan nylon here..). They don't have a reputation for making -good- guitars, though.. typically a beginners-brand

suits my bass-playing fine, I would think
