I noticed something important about this forum as a bass player... there's nothing on here about drums. The most important thing all us bassists and guitarists can agree on, we all hate the drummer.

But back to the drummers, I was told that Slingerland drums fall under the Gib/Epi catagory. I have no opinion on this one really I just wanted to post this joke I heard on the other site. Q: What do you call a guy that hangs out with musicians all the time? A: A drummer. ;D |

Drummers are an important part of a band, but they are fun to pick on too. The Guitar/Bass players have to stick together so unless there is an accordian player you pick on the drummer  |

Well, I don't think swimming is gonna help you when you drink 40 drinks of vodka, throw up in your sleep, and choke on it.. That's what happened :/ He died in a guestroom at Jimmy Pages house in september 1980 after a hard night of drinking.. too bad  |

Well it goes to show how much trivia I keep up with theese days. Yeah bummer way to go. I had a friend die young like that the first time he ever drank. Ok back to Bonzo. I knew this kid that was like a Rush nut! He said that he didn't like Zep drums because the drummer sounded like he was hitting the drums as someone was throwing them at him. For a second I was offended, but then I formed a mental picture of what that would look like, as I listened to Zep Black Dog. It made me like ol John's drummin even more. ;D I also heard he used to play many songs without sticks just hitting the drums with his hands, and I think I have seen it on video as well.
