Little dead on the forum nowadays.. So we've done the favourite guitarist, and best guitarist, what about your favourite band? I'll start by saying that Led Zeppelin has to be my favourite. Especially the early years (68-73), before Page got all smacked up But that doesn't ruin their first four albums, which were amazing (and if I have to choose a second place, it would probably be the Mars Volta)

Yeah! Nice that something happens though. Hope it will start up again. Favourite band eh? Guess I'll have to say Thin Lizzy. Been listening to them for so long now. They are my favourite band to play along with. But lately I've been listening more and more to Flogging Molly. But still, Thin Lizzy!

Mine is definatley Led Zeppelin. I've got all thier studio albums, all thier live albums (except for the BBC sessions) and all thier greatest hits CDs and box sets. I still get chills down my back every time I listen to them

The Beatles, George was the inspiration for me to start playing, even today their music is lasting and pure.

This is even harder than the other two! Tops of my list: Pink Floyd Zep the Allman Brothers (Duane and post-Duane) and I've been partial to the Marshall Tucker Band lately

Hmmm, such a hard question!
But all in all I must name first of all RAINBOW- The classic Dio/Blackmore/Cozy Powell Line up...
And DEEP PURPLE MkIII and IV, that means in any case with David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes... and don´t forget to remember Tommy Bolin... R.I.P.

yeah! Am I right when I think that Tommy Bolin did "Red Baron"? I'm playing it now, and he should have been a pretty good guitarrist if he did that song.

id have to say AC/DC. they were one of the reasons, if not THE reason i wanted to play guitar so bad. when highway to hell came out in 79 id never heard anything like it. that was the first big one here in the states. iguess the black crowes( southern harmony & later) comes in second.
