...if I can ever find a short scale replacement for my acoustic...I have niece that I may send my current AJ-10 to............
...back to the original thread................
...didn't see mention of one of the most widely heard female players on the AM dial of the radio...........
...some people turn it off/change the station immediately when they hear it...others rabidly anticipate its arrival...either way...its a very identifiable Telecaster piece by this young lady...well...she was when she recorded it............
...can you guess before going any further.............
...how about a hint?..............
...the words to the piece that you never hear are very Libertarian...that's means less government is better...for you politically impaired..........
...come on...take a guess..............
...still can't get it.....................
...how about Chrissie Hynde & The Pretenders...........
...the theme?...come on...think..........
...need another hint..........
...it's the B-Side to "Back On The Chain Gang"...........
...okay................
...it's called "My City Was Gone"....................
...and the show that uses it for a theme...come on............
...the opening riffs of the song are used by none other than The Rush Limbaugh Show...................
...I told my neighbor this and he couldn't believe it...she's too Liberal he said...but I told him that's part of the dry humor...if you listen to the words of the song...she's complaining about what the government (that had no pride) has done to the family farm and small town life (childhood memories) with the interstate system and zoning (shopping malls)...paved down the middle...and muzak filled the air...very Libertarian............
...it's a rather punkish alternative to Joni Mitchell's folkish Big Yellow Taxi (...they paved paradise...put up a parking lot...)..................
...sorry about making you work for this...hope you enjoyed it...............

If you ever get tired ofn whatever you do for a living, I reckon you could have a fear deal of success as an author of suspense novels !!
nice one, like it !!
Also everyone, check out a band called Ash, there's a lady called Cahrlotte who takes on much of the guitar work, she sure can make an SG sing !!

...sometimes after working for she-who-must-be-obeyed around the house...find myself coming on here worn out...being really tired can result in long goofy postings...............

C`mon you guys...What about the guitarist from Michaael Jackson`s song "Beat it" The one and only Jennifer Batten? Awesome is the only way to describe her. She`s not much of a wrestler, but you should see her box! (sorry. feeling kind of silly tonight) Jim

Jennifer is on one of Jeff Beck's albums......not too many guys in the world could ever claim that kind of accomplishment.

I have to throw in that the lead on Michael Jackson´s "Beat it" was done by the capable hands of Edward van Halen... Don´t know about the rhythm work, but the lead is Eddie.

Our female lead singer bought an electric guitar most recently, an affordable SG copy and a small practise amp, she seriously wants to learn to play the guitar. Well I encouraged her alot and also will be her teacher. I´ll keep you updated.
