I recently did a search on YouTube for "Epiphone Excellente" and found this wonderful TV appearance of the group Orpheus performing their hit "I've Never Seen Love Like This".

The lead singer Bruce Arnold is playing a vintage Excellente with a standard Epi pickguard (not the gaudy Western style seen on most examples). I searched elsewhere on the net and found that Bruce does indeed play this very guitar on every Orpheus album except for the fourth and final one on Bell Records. Listen to the track and you can hear the Excellente's unmistakable sound. Deep and rich. A perfect combination of a J-200 and a Martin D-45.
